performed by the Three Spires Singers and Orchestra
Elgar’s 1900 masterpiece for large orchestra and choir and soloists tells the story of a Christian soul facing the final agonising hours of his life, meeting his guardian angel, and, in one of music’s most electric moments, coming face to face with God. James Anderson-Besant conducts this unique and thrilling work, with soloists Michael Bell (tenor), Armand Rabot (bass) and Frances Gregory (mezzo soprano).
