St Mary’s Singers are joined by the Choristers of Truro Cathedral to perform Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicolas. The cantata covers the legendary life of Saint Nicolas, Bishop of Myra, Lycia in a dramatic sequence of events.
The concert includes Britten’s Hymn to St Cecilia to celebrate the Saint’s festival day earlier in the week together with Elgar’s Serenade for Strings and the ever popular The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams with violin soloist Phillip Montgomery-Smith.
